Clerk, Passports and Finance.
He will act under the immediate instructions of the Clerk
in Charge of the Division.

He will be ressonsible that all instructions contained in
General Orders, Colonial Secretary's Office files, Standing
Instructions, Colonial Regulations, Ordinances and any other
instructions that may be issued from time to time are strictly
observed as far as they concern him.

He will be responsible for seeing that the work of the section
is accurately and expeditiously carried out.
He will be responsible for all furniture on inventory charge
in the Passports and Finance Office.
He will be held personally responsible for the safe custody
of the Seal of the Colony and for the Seal of the Colonial
Secretary and will not allow the unauthorized use of either.
The Seal of the Colony is to be locked and the Colonial
Secretary's Seal will be kept locked in the safe in the
Passport Office when not in use. The keys of the safe and
seal will be in his custody during normal office hours and
will be handed by him to Chief Clerk before going off duty
for depositing in a safe place in Chief Clerk's Office.
He will be held personally responsible for the safe custody
of Government Cheque Books, Bank Pass Books, Medals and
Certificates in stock.

He will be responsible for seeing that all pay sheets,
Passport renewal forms, Passport Applications, Receipts,
Bank Pass Books, Paying in Books and Treasury Receipts, etc.
are filed in their correct order.
He will bring to the notice of the Clerk in Charge of
Division all papers due for destruction on expiry of periods
laid down in C.S.O.No.1/725/1928 and any other papers he
may wish to recommend for destruction, also any papers that
